hageshii | Violation 1.01 - [Action/Voice]

[He's not a New Feather, thank you very much. Arriving a few days, Goroh quietly settled back into life in Luceti. Last time he reacted to Luceti badly. Cut off from his home and wife, he'd turned to drinking and smoking to deal with the place. If his old man had seen him, he'd have smacked him upside the head for it. Goroh had never been a typical samurai, but he'd definitely let his standards slip. It was a shock realizing he had forgotten Lisa. Not only that, but his hands were covered in blood. It was like plunging into a frozen lake, suddenly returning to Luceti with the memories of what the place had turned him into.

It's why he moved back to his old place and generally not kicked up a fuss. He'd handle this place differently this time. Smarter. But the fact of the matter was, he was still bored. He could meditate and make tea and work out for hours and he was still left with a lot of nothing to fill his time. By now he and the gang would be planning out their next job. No wonder he had watched so much TV while he was here. It was that or boozing. (If only he knew the Dome had been upgraded, huh?)

Well. Only one way to solve this.]

Slayer girl. I heard you've been taking care of my TV while I was gone. I'll be taking that off your hands now. Be sure to have it all packed up when I stop by this evening.

As for everyone else, if you didn't see me already, guess you could say I'm back. The name's Samurai Goroh, but don't get any high minded ideas of noble warrior from me. I'm in the pirating business. Space piracy, that is. Not that there's much call for that kind of thing around here. I spent a year here before, but never found much of a hobby that matched that kind of excitement. So how about some suggestions. Just don't try to stick me with some kid's stuff, understood?

[Later on, Goroh's in town. He'll poke around the general store, hoping to find some weights to work with. He can't go letting himself get soft around here. No stop at the bar, though. He's keeping a low profile, just staying on the essentials. Maybe he'll pick up some food for later. He only shares his kitchen with one other person right now (that's Chun Li), so he'll be displaying a rarely seen act of cooking finesse all up in his apartment. Who knows, lovers of some classic Japanese food may be attracted to the third floor of Building Two if they happen to be in the stairwell.]

Does your F-ZERO Grand Prix involve people dying?

Sometimes. Especially when you drop the Grand Prix.

That's a pretty serious competition then.

Biggest competition in the galaxy. You win one of those races, you earn yourself some serious cash. Everyone wants a piece of that. Pirates, superstars, crime lords, and hell- even the Galactic Police race undercover, so as to keep the money from falling into the hands of vagabonds like myself.

To keep the money from falling into the hands of people like you... I would have thought they were more worried about the crime lords, are you worse than those?

Not at all. They're especially concerned with crime lords. But they're not too eager about letting that kind of money fall into my hands either. Even if it is a more legitimate income than piracy.

Even if you claim that if you get that money you will retire?

I'd never claim that. Even if it were true.

Hardly. But I shoot for plausible. Anyone that knows me would know I'm not the retiring sort.

I guess you have a point in there. Too bad, though it doesn't seem as if you really have problems with they trying to do that.

I'm good at what I do. Maybe not the best in the Grand Prix, but when you're competing against the best in the galaxy, even being in the top twenty puts you miles ahead of the rest of the galaxy.

That's true. It's refreshing to see someone who can understand that, for some people just being second doesn't count even if that still puts them miles ahead of the rest.

I take solace in the fact that there's no better space pirate than me. [He's the best at SOMETHING still.]

That's definitively some good comfort. You sound like someone who enjoys what he does for sure.

A genius inventor, is more like it. I can work as a mechanic, but calling me only that is quite an understatement.

There's no machine in my universe that I can't work with, repair and upgrade, no matter if it's alien technology or from the distant future.

That so? Shame my F-Zero machine isn't here. I'd be talking to you about any repairs I might need.

You can say it again, I would have done them gladly just to get to work on something properly. I guess I shouldn't complain, though, the missions give me a chance to do that but it's not the same.

If those dome upgrades are as good as I hear, maybe I can simulate a good F-Zero wreck for you. A good collision could take days to fix.

Unfortunately the time limit of one hour would make it quite troublesome. And it's not as fun if it's just a simulation. But I guess that's the most I could hope to get while in this place, unless the dome explodes and things stop repairing themselves overnight.

Always a downside, isn't there? Not having anything to pirate or anything to race near drove me crazy last time around.

I was going crazy in just a month... And the people here didn't help, try to make something productive to try to figure out something of this place even if it's futile? No chance, the people here will be the first ones to yell "it's useless everyone has tried something before, it's all going to fail, you are wasting time" until it's hammered in your head. And of course they won't provide even an inch of help or positive advice.

[It's pretty clear that she's still annoyed with that. Really, and yet there are people who go and make stupid questions as "if you could leave tomorrow at the cost of something else would you do it?" and the like. Some people here just don't seem to know what they want.]

That's why I've ended up setting up a beauty salon. It's not what I usually do but it fills time.

I had my plans to get out. Didn't turn out at all. The reality of this place hits hard and it can be just as frustrating for a bunch of newbie hotshots to come out of the woodwork every month proclaiming they'll free everyone the way the rest of us failed to. Try not to hold it against people too much. This is a place that'll turn a person bitter. Especially when it's full of starry eyed heroes all used to changing the world, only to find out they're all nobodies here.

[Blunt, very blunt. But a year of Luceti taught him the score for this place and he's never ever tried to sugarcoat it.]

But as for me, I considered bartending. Never could get the staff to hire me. Figures, don't it?

I never claimed I could take everyone out of here, I know my limits, but I also know that sitting on our butts and stare at nothing will lead us nowhere. This place turns people bitter, you say? Personally I just stopped caring when I saw how little interest people had in keep trying and how they were all in for just sit and wait.

[She hasn't stopped trying to think of something, she won't, but she has decided to not bother with working with the people of the village. Even if Vegeta and Goku left, she would work on her own, since no one else will bother to even try to save their own skins.]

I can't imagine why they wouldn't want you in the staff. You seem knowledgeable with bars after all.
